Art Prints - Paper Info
If you hadn't already noticed, I am currently in this weird transition period between two types of paper that my art prints are getting printed on. This page is to help clarify the difference between the two if there is any confusion.
Satin-Finish Paper - 'Old' Stock
This is the paper I have printed on since the beginning of JKC. It is a high-quality 210gsm paper with a satin-finish. The finish means there's a little bit of light reflection on the artwork, but it is not a high-gloss.
In the simplest terms, art prints on this paper look like photo prints of my artworks.
Great details, vibrant colours, yet still super affordable.

Cotton Fine Art Paper - New Stock
This is the paper I am transitioning to, so eventually will only offer this one exclusively. It is a 310gsm cotton rag fine art paper (Hahnemühle) with a lightly textured surface and matte finish.
So why did I want to change to this paper?
It's thicker, better quality, and looks absolutely stunning! The matte finish means you don't get any reflections interfering with the artwork, and that combined with the textured surface makes these prints look almost indistinguishable from the original paintings.
Also, this type of paper is made from by-products of the textile and oil industries, giving new life to otherwise unused fibres. Because these fibres are naturally white, they require very minimal processing, with no chemical bleaching.
